The Arte Novi Clinic uses cutting edge technology to achieve its goals to optimise health and wellness for its clients. Arte Novi Clinic offers you access to your own Personal Health Record.

WHY DO I NEED AN ONLINE PERSONAL HEALTH RECORD?

  1. 24/7 access to your own Health Records from anywhere in the world when needed.

  2. Access to life-saving information by Medical Staff in an emergency situation or when needed from anywhere in the world.

  3. Constant personal updating and record keeping of health issues, changes, medication, diagnoses and visits to your Doctor or other health professionals, creating a very valuable database and repository of medical information, accessable and controlled by yourself when needed.

HOW DO I CREATE MY PERSONAL HEALTH RECORD?

  1. This is your choice if you would like to make use of our online Personal Health Record.
  2. You will be able create a personal Health Record file for yourself/ family members, following the simple online instructions during your booking or registration for the Swine Flu vaccination.
  3. After online registration you will receive an e-mail confirming your personal pin and password. You can access this secure encrypted file with your unique pin and password.
  4. You will be able to access your personal Health Record file and details of your appointment as well as details of your particular vaccination(batch nr. expiry date etc.)
  5. You will be able to add health related information to this file and the Doctor in the Arte Novi Clinic will be able to add clinical information about your vaccination and future examination and health related information details to your personal Health Record if you so prefer.

WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO MY PERSONAL HEALTH RECORD.

  1. You will be able to access only your own record using your unique password and pin number, similar to the systems used for secure online banking.
  2. Your online record is a similar electronic record to that kept by Doctors on their PC Health Record Systems.
  3. The rules and regulations as prescribed by the Irish Medical Council still applies to all aspects of your Personal Health Record keeping, including full Patient confidentiality.
  4. Only the qualified Doctors in the Arte Novi Clinic and partnership Medical Practices have access to your Health Record. Only qualified Doctors registered with the Irish Medical Council are allowed to update your Health Record. This is controlled by electronic signature on each entry to your file and you will be able to see what Doctor updated your clinical record.
